Sep 20 Intro Workshop

Taking the time to switch your camera from Auto mode to Manual Mode can be a daunting! But here at Creative Edge Photography Workshops, we work with you so you can feel confident using Manual Mode. Learning how the ISO, Fstop and Shutter Speed work together is the first step. So we begin our workshops in the classroom. Instead of reading from a book, we help set up your camera, go through all the settings we use on a regular basis (there are many different tools on your camera, but to not overwhelm you we keep it simple). Then, we take you outside with a few models and help you practice on Manual Mode. We keep our lighting situations simple and not complicated so you can focus on the camera settings. At every Intro Photography workshop, we host an in-house contest. We ask students to submit their images for three reasons. First, when students submit images, we can access their images metadata and give feedback on their images. Second, we send all the images to the models! They love seeing your work! And Finally, the contest! One lucky student with the best eye and spot-on skills receives a free photography workshop on us!

Next runner up is Heather. Heather, you’ve submitted images where you were not afraid of breaking the composition barrier. While your exposure, and sharpness needs a little work, you have expansive creativity and imagination happening when you look through your view finder. Keep practicing and these images are going to be on point!
