Photographing Children Workshop Atlanta | Creative Edge

Make sure you’ve fueled up and have plenty of energy because our Children’s Workshops are fast, furious and MOST importantly…. FUN!!!  We always have the greatest kids come to model for us and this workshop was no exception.  It is always great when we have siblings, so we can focus on one and have the other in the background.  Not only will you learn how to capture these amazing images, but we teach you insider tricks–like how to coax that simmering smile out just at the right moment, how to get everyone to focus one minute longer(candy in the photographer’s pocket is a must..(with Mom’s permission ..of course))!!  You will also learn that wardrobe choices make a huge impact on your photos, it is always handy to have a bag of “props” on every shoot.  Indoor and outdoor locations give you the opportunity to experience different lighting techniques and the use of different lenses.  Please scroll through the images that follow……I’m sure you will not want to miss our next exciting Chidren’s workshop…..!!

Clothing makes such a different with any shoot but especially with children.  We discuss the look we want with our clients and I will e-mail them links on where to buy the clothes because I want every shoot to be my best shoot ever.  I do not want them to just show us with typical clothing because nothing we do is typical.  You want to develop a style in your photography and yes that will have a lot to do with your eye and how you shoot the image but clothing can make or break the shot.When we photograph children we like to let them have fun and capture their personality so be ready to shoot quick and move but play with them.Lighting is so important!  We teach how to use light to shape faces and not be flat.
