It’s been a busy summer for us here at Creative Edge, and we’ve found ourselves thrown in to a very fast fall!! We’ve only had one Introduction to Photography Workshop recently, and we want to share our pictures with you!
We have a few very important shout outs to students! We always host and in-house contest for our Intro Workshops! After the workshop, students submit their images and one lucky student wins a free workshop! The winner for our October 5th Intro Workshop is David!!
Congratulations David! Your image stood out to Mike among the rest. You captured a beautiful moment between Chozy and Britt, just laughing and having a good time! We always appreciate a little post editing, even though we don’t let it sway our final vote. We like the black and white look you’ve got. It really makes the moment seem timeless. There are great plug-ins and actions you can take to make it a richer black and white, but overall great shot!
Another one of David’s images made it as a runner up! Great angle, beautiful bokeh. Great work, David!
We also need to mention a few runner ups, you guys had great stuff! Don’t be discouraged, and keep coming to more workshops!
First up, John! John, the lighting and moment you capture of Leah in this picture is superb! She’s well exposed, nicely composed, and sharp as a tack. I love the fact that she’s not so much in a model ‘pose,’ Leah loks more relaxed, as if you just caught her hanging out at a bench in a park. Awesome job!
Another runner up is Bruce! Bruce did a beautiful job of getting low and creative! This was a popular place to do this among our students at this workshop! Everyone did a great job! Bruce’s picture stood out a little more due to great exposure, and tact sharpness!
And last, but most certainly not least, Mike Johnson, you look like you’ve been shooting for years! You have a wonderful eye, and your exposures were consistently on point! Great, GREAT job!
As always, a HUGE thank you to both our models, and our students for coming to our Introduction Photography Workshop!
