It’s SPRING at Barrington Hall…. Finally! The azaleas and rose buses are in super bloom!
We hosted another great intro to photography workshop on April 12th!
We had awesome models who did great at modeling!
We taught students about reflecting light, getting catch light in the eyes, shooting under shade versus direct light and posing people.
At every intro to photography workshop students are called to submit images for our free intro to photography workshop… to send their images to models.. and to get video feedback on the images they took! The winner for this workshop was Allison! There’s a lot of great things happening in this picture:
Well exposed, great coloration, and an awesome capture of this model’s attitude!
We had other amazing submissions which make it hard to choose a winner. One of the runner ups is Suganya. There are great lines to pull you into the models eyes which are in focus, and the image is overall well exposed. A little white balance fix for the color and this image is flawless!
Another runner up is Lindara! I love the shoot through happening here, the colors of the flowers, the movement of the model. You are showing excellent knowledge of exposure and using depth of field! Ideally you’d want your model in focus since there’s a lot going on in the foreground. But this image is awesome! so fun!
And the last runner up but certainly not least is Rebecca. Check out this creativity! And you spent extra time in post-processing. I love the expressionism happening here. I wonder what this image would say if the model was looking over his right should to confront you? ooooohh =)Thank you to everyone who came out to the workshop as students, the models who modeled, and our instructors! We hope everyone had a great time! We hope to see you again soon at the next Creative Edge Workshop!
Congratulations Allison!
