Our workshop is run by the owner Mike Moreland who has been a top photographer for over 30 years. Our workshops are hands on workshops which is the very best way to learn.  “You can ask YouTube questions.  You will learn much more in a shorter period of time with a hands on workshop. We will simply the technical part of your camera so you can be creative.  We will also teach  you about lighting, composition, choosing the right lens and poising people.

Yes since the workshops are kept to no more then 8 people it needs to be paid in advance to block off your seat.

Yes there is a $50 bring a friend discount off the second seat.

Mirrorless, DSLR or a point and shoot and bring any lenses you have.

I have extra cameras that you can borrow for the workshop. However, bring a SD memory card to use for the shooting part of the workshop.

We have a classroom part at our studio in Alpharetta right off Windward Parkway and 400, where we will simply the technical part of your camera. Mike is at the workshop with another professional photographer and an assistant.  Then the second part of the workshop will be in Roswell at a beautiful historical estate.  The best way to really learn photography is by hands on learning.  There will be one or two models at the workshop. However, the estate is so beautiful there will be many scenic backdrops.

A private workshop will be customized to your schedule and to the exact type of photography you are interested in. They can be a great option for more advanced photographers or for people that prefer a private setting.  They also can be ideal for someone that has a special vacation that they want to be able to capture wonderful images.  Someone that wants to capture images of their family.  For someone that needs more experience for their business.  Maybe photographing their products.

We can customize a private workshop to anything you want to focus on and to your schedule. However, what you learn at the Intro to photography workshop you can apply to any type of photography. It gives you a great foundation.

People outdoors or inside with flash, studio lighting, night lighting, headshots, nature, product photography, food photography, architecture photography, real estate photography, sports photography or call to discuss anything specific.

  • $150 per hour during the week with a two-hour minimum
  • $250 pr hour for weekends or if you schedule is flexible, and we can set up your private workshop around my shooting assignments then I will only charge you the weekday fee for a weekend. You can also bring a friend for free. You can also buy a block of 8 hours of time for $800 where you can split the time up. For workshops at our large studio in Alpharetta will be an extra $40 per hour. Underwater photography workshops will be a custom price. Call to discuss because some restrictions apply

You can bring a model to the workshop. I can also arrange a models at a private workshop at $25 per hour.

Yes, we have gift certificates that can be mailed to you for our workshops both group and private.

No problem that is what the Intro to Photography Workshop is created for: Novice, amateur and photographers with some experience but want to understand the technical settings so they can be creative.

They are $150 per person or bring a friend at a $50 discount.

Yes children can attend if they are at least 12 years old. A private workshop is the best option for anyone less than 12 years old.

If it rains at our intro to photography workshop, then we will stay in the studio but you can attend any of our future workshops for the shooting part outdoors.

You can attend a future workshop in exchange for this workshop that you could not attend.
