Photoshop, Lightroom and Album Design Workshop | Workshop

In this workshop, we spend a full day at the studio going over everything that happens when the photo shoot is over.  We start with our workflow:  backing up the images,  color correcting,  and  enhancement techniques.  Additionally, we explore ways to add creative artistic photoshop techniques to designing albums.  I teach the post production and actions I use in photoshop to create the look of my finished images.  My associate Brittnay teaches the detailed photoshop techniques and album designing.  No models and no shooting at this workshop make it much easier to focus on the work done “after the shoot”……………

We demonstrated how skin softening and making the eyes “pop”– gives an artistic glamour to the finished product.

Since photographers don’t get to pick the time of the wedding, this shot was actually taken at 4:30 in the afternoon.  However, we  were able to create the after sunset look with a photoshop technique.

As an artist,  I  always strive to find a vantage point that will give me the most artistic look,  but often I need to enhance the color.   Additionally,  I had to retouch out my assistant that was shooting closeups from below.

I love BLACK and WHITE!!!  I demonstrate how to get very rich black and white images.  We cover extensive  black and white techniques depending on the look we are going for.

Great shot of a high school football player sitting on the bleachers, but I knew this was not the final look I wanted with this image.

So, we removed the light post and make the color richer to create the mood we wanted for this dramatic photo.

We demonstrate how to add backlighting and kicker lights in the studio that you could not do in a wide shot on location.

After photographing the background, we put the studio shot together with the background shot to achieve the cohesive look we are after! Adding textures to the background is also a very creative way to set yourself apart!!  Simple and EFFECTIVE!!.
